We are so excited and honored that you are interested in Christian Life Center Master's Commission. We are praying that God will "hand pick" a group of young, radical Christians who are excited about the opportunity to become all God wants them to be. We feel Christian Life Center Master's Commission will help that happen.

We are asked many questions about Christian Life Center Master's Commission; hopefully the answers to the following FAQ's will help you.

1. What is Master's Commission?

Master's Commission is a highly intensive discipleship program which started in the mid-eighties at First Assembly of God in Phoenix, Arizona. Since then, several other Assemblies across the country have chosen to institute similar programs. The goal of Master's Commission is to disciple, mentor, and provide ministry exposure to young adults through hands-on as well as academic training in a local assembly.

The focus of the Christian Life Center Master's Commission is to train and disciple young adults to be effective in whatever fields they choose to pursue with their lives. The ministry philosophy of Christian Life Center is to "Win, Build and Send." Christian Life Center Master's Commission puts this philosophy into action by enhancing the spiritual life of a young adult, allowing him/her to grow and learn.

2. What makes Christian Life Center Master's Commission unique?

Christian Life Center has many areas of focus . Christian Life Center Master's Commission can offer a student a well rounded look at a variety of ministries because of the vast experience of it's staff and wide array of ministry opportunities.

Students will get a hands on experience with the ministry in which they feel the Lord is calling him/her. For an additional $500 the student will experience a foreign missions trip experience in the years they are offered.

We will be very involved in a large and growing congregation with an extraordinary senior pastor, Reverend David Tonn, who has been a missionary, evangelist and now a pastor for 25+ years. Students will be exposed to many of the dynamic ministries of Christian Life Center, and will have the opportunity to meet and work with the pastoral staff of the church.

4. What ministries will I be involved in?

Your ministry exposure will not be from the sidelines, behind a desk, or in a vacuum, closed off from the "real world." Rather, Master's Commission offers front line, "hands-on" ministry exposure to a wide range of needs represented in our world today.

Youth Ministry Direct exposure and training in youth ministry through participation in weekly senior high and middle school youth services. Students will be included in the preparation of services and daily operations of a growing Club Life Youth Ministry.

Weekly Discipleship Groups Students will lead and / or participate in youth discipleship groups which meet weekly.

Foreign Mission Trip ($500 extra tuition) One foreign missions trip, offering the student an opportunity to be used of God in a foreign land in the years they are offered, which is usually every other year.

Children's Ministry Training and participation in planning and operation of weekly children's church services under experienced and Spirit-led children's pastors. This will include puppet ministry, games, and illustrations in interpersonal relationships with a wide range of children.

Ministry to the Ill and Shut-in Students will be exposed to many nursing homes and hospitals, learning to minister to those in physical, as well as spiritual need.

Music and Drama Students with an interest in Worship leading, singing, and/or drama will be involved in leading students in these areas, as well as receive training from our Music and Drama Department.

6. How will I personally benefit from this program, and what skills will I learn?

The first and most important benefit of Christian Life Center Master's Commission is the opportunity to be grounded in your faith and to increase in the personal disciplines of a Christian life.

Statistics say that anything practiced over twenty-one days develops into a habit. Daily practice of scripture memorization, personal devotions, prayer, and a positive work ethic will develop as a habit in your life, building a strong foundation for a successful future. You will have an opportunity to acquire many skills over the nine months of study. You can grow in interpersonal relations, develop your public speaking ability, overcome fears and road blocks in your life, and be stretched by God through consistent effort and communication with Him.

All of these will help you become a "sold out" useful tool that God can use wherever He chooses to place you.

7. What will a typical day consist of in Master's Commission?

Simply put, the morning will be "input" into students' lives, and afternoons and evenings will be spent in "output": evangelism, canvassing and follow-up.

Mornings will largely consist of organized personal prayer, Bible study, scripture memorization, and working on required academic studies. Over the course of Master's Commission students will memorize 400 passages of scripture and complete no fewer than eighteen hours of college level studies. They will be exposed to many guest pastors and missionary speakers.

Afternoons will be devoted to servant-hood and hands-on ministry experience. Students will spend time in numerous outreach efforts, as well as many of the ministries at Christian Life Center.

They will learn what "full-time ministry" means first hand, and find the devotion it requires to fulfill the call to which God has commissioned every Christian.
